Management of hazardous materials, from initial procurement to proper disposal as chemical waste is a critical component of laboratory safety and compliance.  Veolia Environmental Services provides chemical inventory services to help monitor the quanitities of hazardous waste in a laboratory.  An annual inventory is recommended to eliminate outdated or unnecessary chemicals and assures that unnecessary quantities of chemicals are not purchased.

Regulatory Requirements

Hazardous waste disposal is regulated under the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).  States may have additional regulatory requirements.
