Lab Packing Using Computerized System

The key differences between the lab packing services provided by Veolia ES Technical Solutions and those offered by other companies are our people, our training and our field systems.  Extensive training assures that all of our personnel follow required procedures.  Our proprietary field ocmputer system provides our technicians with proper packaging protocol, treatment methods and RCRA and DOT documents.  It automatically documents each step of hazardous waste processing, packaging, transportation and disposal.  The system is programmed to ensure compliance with the lastest requirements under applicable regulations from the Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The system includes a chemical library of nearly 50,000 chemicals and compounds, which can be referenced online to develop waste information profiles on-site quickly and accurately.  All existing profiles can be viewed and edited for each customer, so duplicate profiles are never created.  Each container of waste is identified separately, including its contents and its exact point of generation.  Every component of a lab pack can be tracked individually.

Customized Services

Project information is uploaded daily at each field office "real time" via connection to the Veolia network.  The field system uses project-specific information to generate labels, manifests and Land Disposal Restriction forms quickly and easily, with minimal data entry.  This process assures data integrity, compliance, and consistency.

Only those disposal sites that have been approved by the customer can be designated for shipments.  On-site employees cannot override the list of approved facilities, and the system allows only approved facilities to be specified prior to shipment.  When there's unanticipated waste, the Veolia field computer system is completely flexible.  We just write up the waste information profile, obtain approval for shipping and ship, all in one easy step.
